Exceptional restaurants such as Mango Deck, Mi Casa, and Baja Cantina, which offer authentic Mexican cuisine, are just minutes away from the center.

The 30 minute dolphin tour for kids caters to children from ages 4 to 9. The program includes a 15 minute orientation and educational session followed by a 15 minute supervised swimming and playtime session with the dolphins. For a highly personal experience, all sessions are offered in small groups of 8 or less.

Younger kids with adult accompaniment may be accommodated in the Encounters Tour, which is primarily designed for adults and older children. The program is 15 minutes longer than the kids’ tour and follows the same program format. The program starts with an educational and safety information session followed by interaction and training techniques. The third dolphin tour option offers an hour long session with the dolphins while the Trainer for a Day tour lasts for 5 hours. All of the tours are open daily. Participant rates start at $80 for the 30 minute tour.

Lucky’s Bar Cabo

Lucky’s Bar in Cabo San Lucas is more commonly known as Lucky Shots. Regardless of what people prefer to call it, it has established a very solid reputation. For instance, Lucky Shots has a 4.5-star traveler rating with 48 of 57 travelers giving it the highest rating possible.

What makes Lucky Shots so appealing is the outdoor dining. While outdoor dining might be common in Cabo San Lucas, Lucky Shots offers better service and food than most other locations. It also offers a great mix of people. About half the customers are locals and the other half are tourists. If you’re the type of person who wants to learn more about the local culture, the locals here will be more than happy to talk to you. They take pride in their city. If you would prefer to relax with your friends or family while watching sports on one of the three big-screen flat-panel TVs, you can do that as well.

If you plan on dining at Lucky Shots, plan on spending $10 to $15 per person. The most popular item on the menu is the ribs. Other good options include burgers, chicken, wraps and sliders. The service here is good and the owner, Jenny, is extremely friendly. If you want the fastest service possible, sit at the bar. Lucky Shots was recently remodeled, which adds to what was already a pleasant atmosphere.

Luxury Avenue Cabo San Lucas

Luxury Avenue Cabo San Lucas sits at the heart of the Cabo San Lucas Marina. The waterfront attraction boasts luxurious architecture and a number of high-end shops. Luxury Avenue has gained in popularity among guests of hotels and resorts located on the Cabo waterfront.

Grupo Ultrafemme opened Luxury Avenue Los Cabos in 2008. Caroline Herrera, Coach and Fendi are among the brands featured at Luxury Avenue boutiques. The boutique mall is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Many of the marina hotels, including Mexico Grand and Marina Fiesta Resort and Hotel, are located nearby.

Visitors enjoy quartz columns, marble floors and fountains. The handicapped-accessible venue offers free valet parking, eliminating the hassle of searching for a spot. Luxury Avenue accepts United States Dollars, Euros and Mexican Pesos for purchases. All major credit cards and travelers checks are accepted.

The adjacent Puerto Paraiso Shopping Mall offers a variety of dining fare for Luxury Avenue shoppers. Haagen-Dazs offers ice cream and other snacks that cost between $1.39 and $6.95. The family-friendly Sr. Sweets Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast prices start at $3.20. Lunch and dinner entrée prices start at $9.

Greenberg’s has wine and tapas. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast prices start at $2.58. Lunch selections are available for $4.31. Dinner entrée prices start at $5.17.

The Office on the Beach – Bar

The Office on the Beach is a laid-back dining establishment located on the Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The restaurant was once a small and relaxed local hangout, serving delicious traditional meals and plenty of drinks, back when the area was still undiscovered by many tourists. One transplanted resident rented out beach equipment nearby, but spent his days drinking beers and chatting with friends at the restaurant, which he dubbed his “office.” The name has stuck, and the casual fun environment has stayed the same, as the restaurant grows to meet the needs of this thriving tourist beach in Cabo.

The Office opens up bright and early to serve breakfast to the early risers in Cabo. Offering fresh ingredients prepared with care, there is both a traditional Mexican and Continental style of food, meaning there is a delicious meal waiting for you, no matter your tastes of preferences. Fresh local seafood is the speciality of the house, prepared as tacos, fajitas, and on salads, among others. Of course, no meal on a Mexican beach vacation would be complete without a tropical cocktail. The bar staff can happily recommend a number of house drink specialities, each of which will get you in the mood for a fun day on the beach!

The Office’s convenient location on Playa de Medano (Medano Beach) means it is easily accessible on foot from the many international hotels in the vicinity. Prices vary depending on menu items, but fall in the 150-200 peso range for meals, and roughly 100 pesos for most specialty drinks.

The Mango Deck serves food all day long, from early morning until late at night when even the most crazy of revelers is ready to call it a day. Cabo Submarine

For the ultimate underwater adventure visit the Cabo Submarine in Cabo San Lucas. This yellow submarine that doesn’t fully submerge can fit up to 49 passengers and 3 crew members. What makes this submarine unique is that you can visit the lower deck to see underwater life or you can stay on the upper deck and enjoy the beautiful vistas. Of course, switching back and forth is the most logical and beneficial approach. Since this is a 55-minute tour, you will have plenty of time to spend time on both the lower and upper deck.

The Cabo Submarine is 60-feet long. The lower level has 34 seats. The upper level is for standing. The lower level is air conditioned and offers views of tropical fish, sea lion colonies, unique rock formations and species you have likely never seen before. When you’re on the upper level, you will have views of the many coves and beaches. Either way, the tour guide will keep you entertained. If you want to see different creatures, go on a nighttime tour. Day or night, don’t forget to feed the fish.

The Cabo Submarine has been in operation since 2008. The people who operate the submarine have 13 years of experience in area waters. Prices are $45 for an adults, $35 for children 4-12 and free for children 3 & under.

Costa Azul Surf Shop

If you plan on surfing while in Cabo San Lucas, go to the Costa Azul Surf Shop. The owner, Alejandro Olea, has been hand-crafting boards for almost 20 years. The quality of these boards is excellent, which is why people keep returning to the Costa Azul Surf Shop. The boards are replaced every three months, which is tough to find at most surfboard rental shops.

Traveling with a surfboard can be a nuisance, especially if you’re traveling on a plane. This can cost up to $200 round trip. You can spend a lot less money renting a surfboard. The prices for surfboard rentals at Costa Azul Surf Shop are $20 for 1 day, $25 for 2 days and $15 per day if you rent for 10 days or more. Rental options include short boards, hybrids, fish, water hogs, performers and classic longboards.

Costa Azul Surf Shop offers excursions, which take approximately 3-4 hours round trip. On these excursions, there will be a maximum of 2 surfers per instructor, which guarantees personalized instruction. Excursions can take between 10-12 people. Transportation and boards are provided. It’s possible that you will stop at a local restaurant following surfing activities, but it depends on the day and the mood of the crowd.

Costa Azul Surf Shop is also a good place to go for bodyboard, skimboard and snorkeling equipment rentals. The prices for these rentals are a few dollars cheaper.

Eat, drink, and dance the night away at the original Cabo bar and grille. Don’t forget to “get hung” upside down for a photo-op with the Marlin. After a fun filled evening, you may be looking for a cup of joe at the espresso bar by the main entrance.

Cabo Wabo Cantina – Cabo San Lucas

Cabo Wabo Cantina has been a premier destination for visitors to Cabo San Lucas since it’s opening in 1990. Created by American Rocker Sammy Hagar, Cabo Wabo has become a iconic location thanks to it’s exciting and vibrant atmosphere, great drinks and meals, and late night parties. The Cantina has been featured on MTV, the Travel Channel, and countless other media outlets.

Cabo Wabo Cantina opens 7 days a week at lunchtime, where staff begin to prepare and serve incredible food served in a fun and unique way. Not just traditional “bar food,” the chefs here are well trained and execute dishes like lobster ceviche, chipotle rib-eye steaks, and traditional Mexican dishes. Meals are available for both lunch and dinner, and the patio bar menu serves food until 2:00 am each night of the week. Food here is generally slightly more expensive than the average for the area, as it is a tourist destination and an incredibly popular one at that. Expect most meals to come in at a little over 200 pesos per person.

Most travelers will visit Cabo Wabo Cantina at least once on their holiday in Cabo San Lucas, as each night there are thrilling events in the club. The club opens it’s door at 8pm each night, and closes at 2:00 am. It is centrally located in Cabo, nearby to the beach and within walking distance of several area hotels. There is also parking for those who choose to arrive by car.
